Bio:
Sharon Schock grew up in Southern California spending her summers by the sea. She began oil painting at a very young age and in 2006 she graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Westmont College, in Santa Barbara, California. While studying there she had the unique opportunity to study abroad throughout Europe, and her work benefited immensely from the experience. She now lives in Carpinteria, California and paints full time. Her oil paintings can be found in private collections in England, Canada, and in most states in the US. They are also displayed in several locations along the Central Coast.

Artist statement
I love to paint, and I'm so grateful that it's something I get to do everyday. When I pick a subject to paint my goal is to emphasize the color and contrasts it possesses. I believe that extra bit of drama is what gives life to my work.
