Bio
Working in either oils or acrylics Jeffrey attempts to convey his vision of colourand light in his paintings.
Jeffrey's bold use of colour combines elements ofImpressionism with a more contemporary representational landscape paintingstyle.
His love of the natural world and those sometimes overlooked small areasof our disappearing landscape are often featured in his work.
Many of Jeffrey'ssmaller plein air pieces are painted amongst the hills and meadows of southern Vancouver Island that still retain remnant stands of Garry oaks.
Jeffrey's work is often noted for it's "strong sense of light and confident brushstrokes."
Jeffrey's marine and landscape paintings are filled with the light and colour of southwestern British Columbia. They are never timid and always vibrate with life and soul.

Artist statement
As an artist I want my paintings to bring to the viewer a sense of the joy I feelwhen painting them, as well as highlighting the wonder and beauty of those small spots of nature that we live amongst but so often overlook in our busy lives."
